Police: Car, van stolen, with nearly $3K worth of items inside, from Lynchburg homes

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Police Department said it's investigating two car thefts from this weekend.

Police said a white 2007 Nissan Altima with a New Jersey license plate #V16CJX was stolen from the 3000 block of Cardinal Place on Sunday, May 20.

The victim told police that the vehicle was packed with about $2,000 worth of personal belongings and they were planning to leave on an out of town trip.

The next victim reported that a 2005 Honda Odyssey with Virginia license plate #VFX-5706 was stolen from the 100 block of Adams Drive on Monday, May 21.

The victim said there was about $700 worth of business equipment and three child seats inside the vehicle at the time it was stolen.
