BOTETOURT Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Botetourt County Sheriff's Office said they got information about the man on the run in Botetourt County Sunday afternoon.

Investigators said William Roberts used a credit card at a local convenience store, just after midnight Sunday.

Officers responded to the area stores and reviewed video that showed Roberts attempting to get gas in a white Ford F-150, they said.

It appears he stole a truck from the Dagger Springs area of Botetourt County, the sheriff's office reported, and video at one store provided a tag that came back to a home on Dagger Springs Rd.

The owner of the truck confirmed to police that it was stolen.

Roberts was last seen driving the truck with tags XLT-8584, heading south on Route 220 around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Warrants have been obtained for him for grand larceny of a vehicle.

Roberts has been on the run from police since Friday, and is also wanted out of Colorado for a felony traffic offense.

Investigators said Roberts should be considered armed and dangerous.
