Police: 3 arrested for robbing woman at gunpoint in Danville, taking off in her vehicle
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- The Danville Police Department said two men and a woman have been arrested after a woman reported they tried to rob her at gunpoint last month before being carjacked.
Police said a woman reported to officers that she was approached by three suspects, one of which pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse, in the 600 block of Arnett Boulevard on September 26.
During the confrontation, the victim said the suspect with the gun attempted to take her purse by force but was unable to get it.
The suspects were able to get her keys and left the scene in her green 2014 Kia Sportage with Virginia tag WPB–9020.
The victim had minor injuries.
Danville Police arrested and charged the three suspects with carjacking and conspiracy to commit carjacking.
Ramello Armon Harris, 23, of Danville, Dominic Lawrence Ortiz, 19, of Danville, and Autumn Renee Price, 21, of Danville are being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
Harris has also been charged with use of a firearm in the commission of carjacking.
