Police: 14 oz. of cocaine, 3 lbs. of marijuana, 2 grams of MDMA taken from 18-year-old

    RADFORD, Va. (WSET) -- An 18-year-old has been arrested on illegal drug and firearms charges in Radford.

    The Radford City Police Department said they arrested Gabriel Eduardo Yus Baez, 18, of Radford around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

    Police said the arrest came after a search warrant was served at his home on Downey Street.

    They said the search warrant stemmed from a citizen's tip that led to a police investigation.

    Baez is charged with possession to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute a schedule II drug (cocaine), possession with intent to distribute a schedule I drug (MDMA), and possession of a firearm while in possession of schedule I & II drugs.

    Police said they took 14 ounces of cocaine, three pounds of marijuana, two grams of MDMA, one firearm, and $25,375 in cash from his home.

    Baez was remanded to the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
