HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A plane crash-landed at the Blue Ridge Regional Airport in Henry County Saturday afternoon.
"It was a failure of some sort of landing gear not coming down, so, it landed down on its belly and stayed on the runway and never departed the runway into the grass and it just came to a halt," said the airport's managing director, Jason Davis.

Henry County Sheriff Lane Perry describes the incident as minor. The pilot was the only person on board and he was not hurt.
Davis adds medical crews did check out the pilot, which is standard procedure.
Davis says the plane was a Piper Saratoga and is inside the airport's hanger under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration.
