CNN is reporting that the Outer Banks may be forever changed after Hurricane Florence makes landfall, according to an expert on its broadcast on Thursday evening.

Reed Timmer, a storm chaser, appeared on the national news channel while he was walking on the beach, while Florence approached the shore.

The storm surge is supposed to reach six feet, according to Timmer. Experts, as well as Timmer, are calling this storm 'unprecedented' because of the way the storm will slow down over the beaches and coastal areas.
