LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- A new tool has been developed to increase the exposure of local nonprofits and their needs.
On Thursday, members of the Greater Lynchburg area came together, while remaining socially distanced, to unveil SHARE Greater Lynchburg.
The Executive Director, Megan Huffman, said it is an online tool that makes it easy for you to choose a way to help local nonprofits in Lynchburg and surrounding counties.
"The website allows us to see donation pages, opportunities for giving, opportunities for volunteering and there's an Amazon wish list for every organization for items that send directly to the organization," said Huffman.
As of now, there are 60 organizations included, but Huffman said she expects hundreds to join.
It is free for nonprofits and available to anyone who has access to the internet.
