New auto body shop coming to Forest, creating almost 20 new jobs
BEDFORD Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Bedford County Board of Supervisors has approved a request for a special use permit for a new auto body repair and paint shop.
Stifen, Inc. plans to open Performance Collision Center on Forest Rd. across from Goodwill and next to Enterprise Rent-A-Car
Currently, the Grainger Industrial Supply is at the location.
Stifen said it will also install a fenced storage yard a the back of the existing structure for vehicles that are "stored on the premises for more than 72 hours."
The existing building is 10,000 sq. ft. on three acres.
Stifen said it is upgrading the existing building by putting a new sign up and redoing the inside of the building.
18 new jobs will be created at the location.
In the application Stifen said it plans to build 12 new collision centers, including the Forest facility, across Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
