Marcus Vick indicted for drug possession

Marcus Vick (Newport News Police Dept.)

NORFOLK, Va. (WSET) -- A grand jury has indicted former Virginia Tech quarterback and NFL player, Marcus Vick, on a drug charge.

He is the brother of Michael Vick, who was also a quarterback at Virginia Tech.

The charge dates back to an incident in October 2016, when he was accused of having ecstasy, according to WVEC in Norfolk.

This case has no connection to the charges of assault and battery of a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice, which police charged Vick with a year ago.

Those charges were dropped and Vick entered a guilty plea to resisting arrest.
