Green was sentenced to 88 years in prison with 63 of those years suspended. So, he will serve an active sentence of 25 years.
He previously pled guilty to an amended charge of felony murder, which by statute is second-degree murder.
Back in October 2020, the body of Rose was discovered in a burned-out vehicle in the Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest.

According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Les Fleet, Green was one of two shooters involved. Keyanta Robinson, the other shooter, also pleaded guilty.
On Thursday, Rose's wife and mother were in the courtroom but couldn't go through the trauma of testifying. So, Fleet read their victim impact statements.
Part of the mother's statement said, "What monsters you are to burn my son up."
A statement from Rose's wife said "You five did not destroy us. You destroyed yourselves."
"They know that this whole procedure, none of it is going to bring back their loved one and that's the saddest part of the whole thing, but they are satisfied with the 25-year sentence," Fleet said.
Green's defense attorney told ABC 13 that he thinks the sentencing was appropriate and the court was very fair.
The four others who were charged in the case are Robinson, Enrico Moss, Artenna Horsley-Robey, and Montel Croner.
Croner has already been sentenced and the others are scheduled for sentencing in July.
