Man suffers seizure on Sharp Top Mountain, rescued by officials

BEDFORD Co., Va. (WSET) -- Bedford Fire and rescue members and Marine officers responded to an emergency on Sharp Top Mountain Saturday afternoon.

According to GySgt Joshua Butler of the Marines, an older man on the trail suffered a seizure. An Air Force pararescue medic and physician assistant provided him treatment.

Butler said the man was without a pulse for a short time but recovered after receiving a sternum rub.

The man is said to be in stable condition.
