Police: 30-year-old Salem man killed in Roanoke shooting, suspect at-large

    UPDATE: Police are looking for a suspect in the death of Cedric Bernard Gillum, 30, of Salem.

    They said Roanoke Police have obtained a warrant for for Shaniqua Aaliyah Hundley, 30, of Roanoke for Second Degree Murder.

    ROANOKE, Va (WSET)- Roanoke police are investigating a shooting that happened on the 4500 block of Melrose Avenue Northwest.

    They say around 6:30 p.m. they were called. On arrival, officers located an adult male from Salem with gunshot wounds.

    The victim was transported by Roanoke Fire-EMS to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

    Detectives and Forensics Investigators are currently investigating this incident.

    The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

    Police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community at this time.

    The investigation is on going.
