BLAND COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A man in Bland County is facing drug and trespassing charges after the sheriff's office arrested him.
The Bland County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a call on Monday about a man seen trespassing on property on Grapefield Road.
After leaving a home, the man was seen walking in a field near South Scenic Highway, BCSO said, and the sheriff's office worked with Virginia State Police to search the area until a man was found.

Identified as David Meeks from Pulaski County, BCSO said he had lived in Tazewell County in the past but that he was currently homeless.
He faces two trespassing charges, one charge for the possession of Schedule I or II drug, and a charge for giving false information.
"Mr Meeks also had outstanding warrants from Tazewell County and Radford," BCSO said. "Please be advised that this is not the subject dressed in camouflage that is wanted in Bland and other counties."
