Lynchburg superintendent aims to advance community support through mentoring

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET)-- Lynchburg business members and education partners met with Lynchburg City Schools Superintendent Crystal M. Edwards Wednesday morning.

Edwards spoke on the importance of community support and how businesses can play an important role in helping mold students into quality citizens after graduation.

"We know that students do better when they can see what's actually out there and available to them, so we as well as many other companies need to step up to the plate and do what we can," Dr. Edwards stated.

The new superintendent is open to any ideas that will benefit the growth of student experience in the workforce.

She encourages people to reach out to her office.
