Lynchburg man charged with second degree murder in April murder case

LYNCHBURG, Va., (WSET)--- The Lynchburg Police Department say they've made an arrest in the case of Andra Watson and the shooting of a 32 year old female victim.

The shooting happened on April 28th.

Police have now identified the suspect as 32-year-old Troy Lee Beasley of Lynchburg.

The suspect was taken into custody on July 20 without incident.

Beasley is being charged with 2nd degree murder, use of a firearm while in commission of 2nd degree murder and aggravated malicious wounding among several other charges.

Beasley is currently being held at the Lynchburg Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
