Lynchburg Police looking for suspect who got away in high speed chase


    LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET)- The Lynchburg Police Department is looking for someone who took officers on a high speed chase Thursday morning.

    Police said the chase started in Lynchburg around 2 a.m. on Campbell Avenue.

    According to police, speeds in the chase reached more than 100 miles during the chase and they were fighting to keep up with the driver.

    Police said they lost the suspect in Rustburg and they believe the driver is a wanted person.

    The driver was in a gold Lexus, however, police were not able to get a license plate number.
