Police: Man transported to hospital following Lynchburg shooting, Chase City man wanted

UPDATE: Police said when they arrived on the scene, they located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso.

According to officials, fire department medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Lynchburg General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect has been identified as Darrion Roman Reynolds, 32, of Chase City, Va.

He has been charged with Shooting within City Limits, Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Aggravated Malicious Wounding.

Police said Reynolds is still at-large.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Darrion Romane Reynolds or anyone who has information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective R. Miller at (434)455-6160.

Police said the incident appears to be isolated.

The investigation is ongoing.


LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - According to an officer with the Lynchburg Police Department, authorities are investigation a shooting off of Rivermont Avenue.

He tells us the shooting was called in just before 1 a.m.

According to the officer, the investigation is in the 1100 of Early Street.
