Local Trump supporter creates book of nearly 50 rallies
COLLINSVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- One Danville man documented history through pictures at 47 different Donald Trump rallies during his campaign.
Ray Reynolds finished his journey last week at President Trump's inauguration.
"The crowds are like a rockstar, I mean you can see the pictures," said Reynolds looking at the scrapbook he created of his experiences.
Reynolds started attending rallies in August 2015.
He documented 47 rallies before getting to travel to Washington, D.C.
"Another photographer friend had asked me if I would like to go with him and be a volunteer, and he said if you do just meet me in Greenville, North Carolina and you can start taking pictures. I don't think he thought I would show up and I did," Reynolds said.
Reynolds said he believed in Trump's message and ideas on issues like Obamacare.
He says he did this to show the crowds of people that support Trump.
Reynolds created a book with all of the pictures taken at the rallies and shared it on TV prior to the Inauguration.
"I went to Fox and Friends, hung out with the group," he said.
He said that being a "super volunteer" and taking part in the Inauguration was the perfect ending to his story.
Right now Reynolds is taking a small break from any current or future Trump events, but he hopes his pictures and books show what happened and the support Trump had during this election.
