ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) -- Roanoke's Chamber of Commerce got to hear what the legislature spent this session working on in Richmond.

Local lawmakers, including Sen. John Edwards, Del. Sam Rasoul, and Del. Greg Habeeb were among those invited to sit on the panel discussion.

"It's an election year," said Del. Habeeb. "A lot of the really big things, people wait and see what the next governor's going to want to do, but really the big things that we all set out to do we got them all done."

On the agenda were topics like transportation, the state budget, education, and healthcare.

"Obviously the big question right now is healthcare," said Del. Rasoul. "There are still hundreds of thousands of Virginians who do not have healthcare. I'm hoping that whatever comes out of Washington we will be able to as a state capitalize on the funds that are sitting up there so we can cover some of those most in need.

Along with the governor's race, every delegate will be up for reelection in November.
