KMR Aviation Services is expanding, bringing more jobs to Bedford County
BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) -- More jobs are coming to Bedford County.
On Thursday, KMR Aviation Services in Forest announced it's expanding.
KMR specializes in leasing, certifying, and selling parts, as well as providing maintenance solutions for the global airline industry.
The new 3,700 square foot repair center will be built next to the current facility and is expected to spur a dozen new full-time jobs in Bedford County over the next two years.
"Currently the customers we service, we send their components to other vendors to be overhauled. We're going to do that all ourselves which is going to give us more financial control and we can control the turn times and get the components back to our customers quicker and more cost effectively," said KMR's Chief Executive Officer Paul Marten.
The expansion is part of KMR's $1.2 million investment announcement in March of this year.
