Kings Dominion's Great Pumpkin Fest also returns on September 22 with family-friendly Halloween fun in Planet Snoopy.

Adding to their lineup of mazes, monsters, and live entertainment, the new Halloween Haunt highlights a new maze concept, new prison themed scare zone, and a high-energy percussion show.

NEW MAZE: Condemned

  • Rumors have been floating around Kings Dominion since the 50’s – of a wedding at Darkside Manor that ended in the disappearance of the entire wedding party. After this horrific event, the property was sealed and forgotten about until this year. Rumor has it that people can hear strange sounds and figures that can only be described as the supernatural. Grab a flashlight and follow a group of paranormal investigators through complete darkness to see if the reports are true.

  • For years, The Yard of Doswell State Penitentiary was the only place the prisoners could go to get out of their cells and escape the close eye of the evil warden and his guards. The vindictive warden ordered all inmates to be confined to their cells and demanded his sadistic guards to torture and permanently silence the prisoners. Their souls were left in one unmarked mass grave – The Yard. The guards of Doswell State still patrol The Yard ready to silence their next prisoners.

NEW SHOW: Blood Drums

  • The apocalyptic sounds of Blood Drums rule the night with an explosive blend of percussion that will leave you in the wake of its heavy beats. Featuring a mixture of heavy junkyard grunge and raw rhythms, Blood Drums will get your heart pumping.

In total, there will be eight mazes, five scare zones, and a variety of live shows during Halloween Haunt 2018, which features the largest scare force in the region with hundreds of monsters roaming the midways.

During the nighttime event, guests can also get their adrenaline fix on more than 20 rides, including Twisted Timbers, Intimidatorâ„¢ 305 and Dominator, as fog and darkness blanket the park.

Haunt is held select nights September 22 through October 28.

Monsters descend upon the park at 7 p.m. during the Overlord’s Resurrection as he calls forth all of his minions and sends them out into the night.

For daytime Halloween fun with no fear, the park holds The Great Pumpkin Fest in Planet Snoopy.

There are delightful surprises hiding around every corner, from hay mazes to a pumpkin painting patch. Kids can take part in educational and interactive animal and reptile shows in addition to the festive activities and their favorite rides in Planet Snoopy.

The Great Pumpkin Fest has fun for the whole family to enjoy together and as an added benefit, children three to five years of age are eligible for unlimited FREE admission to this event when their parent or guardian registers online and activates their 2019 Pre-K Pass at the park.

The Fest is held Saturdays and Sundays from September 22 through October 28 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
