WAYNESBORO, Va. (WSET) — Jennifer Lewis will be on the ballot in Virginia this November.
Lewis posted to Facebook on Thursday that she had been declared the Democratic nominee for the 6th Congressional District.

The Democratic nominee has been an active member of her community in Waynesboro.
Lewis is a mental health worker as well as a community and environmental advocate.
She also has fought against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline.

Virginia's 6th District covers places Waynesboro, Lexington, Staunton, and Harrisonburg.
Her opponent in November's race will be decided on June 21 after the Republican primary.
She will either go against incumbent Representative Ben Cline or challenger Merritt Hale.
