CAMPBELL Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Campbell County Sheriff's Office says it's made arrests in a shooting range burglary and an attempted burglary.

The sheriff's office said deputies responded to an alarm at Lynchburg Arms & Shooting Range on Sunburst Road in Lynchburg on Monday around 5 a.m.

When deputies got the scene, they saw three suspects running from the side of the building and found two other suspects sitting in a vehicle a short distance from the building.

Investigators said deputies immediately took the two suspects from the vehicle into custody, saying they were on the scene of an attempted burglary in a vehicle that was confirmed stolen from Lynchburg.

Other responding deputies and state troopers were able to locate the three other suspects seen running from the business on the Route 460 bypass east bound a little ways away from Lynchburg Arms; investigators said all three suspects are juveniles and have been connected to the attempted burglary of the Lynchburg Arms.

Lynchburg Arms was also broken into on July 20, during which numerous handguns and rifles were stolen.

Video surveillance of the incident showed four suspects enter the building and leave with the guns, according to investigators.

So far in their investigation, four juveniles have been arrested in connection to both incidents; two of those juveniles were involved in both incidents.

The juveniles have been charged with burglary, attempted burglary, grand larceny, attempted grand larceny, wearing a mask in the commission of a felony, and possession of burglary tools.
