Four people died in a Tuesday morning crash between 2 tractor trailers and 4 cars on I-81 in Montgomery County, Virginia State Police said.
The crash occurred Tuesday at 3:30 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 81, at the 120.3-mile marker in Montgomery County.

Machete-wielding man shot, killed by deputy in Amherst County, VSP says
A machete-wielding man is dead following an officer-involved shooting incident in Amherst County.
According to Virginia State Police, the Amherst Co. Sheriff's Office was responding to a call concerning a man demonstrating erratic behavior while outside a pickup truck near the intersection of Lexington Turnpike and Sandidges Road.

Virginia major charged after allegedly molesting his 9-year-old relative on a cruise: FBI
The Federal Bureau of Investigations has charged an employee of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office in Virginia with abusive sexual contact after an incident with a 9-year-old girl on a cruise ship.
According to court documents from the District Court of Southern Florida, the incident took place while Justin Sigmon, 47, and his family were on a Carnival Cruise, which departed from the Port of Miami on May 25.
