Danville, VA - Hundreds of people braved the chilly weather to get a little dirty Sunday afternoon.

This is the fourth year for the city's annual Dirty Dan Dash. Runners had to manuever through three and a half miles of slippery obstacles.

Robin Powell says the Dirty Dan helped get her into fitness in 2013. Now she's back again for her third year, 115 pounds lighter.

"I was over 200 pounds my first one and I still did it. So, anybody can do it. Just take your time and do it," said Powell.

This was also the first year for a special Police and Fire Cup. Separate awards were given for the top three men, women, and teams in that category.
