Holy Cross unveils new learning lab to help students interact with people around the world
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- It's a resource to help students interact with people from all over the world.
On Wednesday, Holy Cross Catholic School in Lynchburg debuted their new distance learning lab which allows students to take classes from schools all around the country or even the world.
Students from Lynchburg and Roanoke heard from an Iraqi war veteran who is a professor in Pennsylvania and an author.
Then, they were able to ask questions in the same lab.
"Technology is becoming so much a part of our lives, it's not about textbooks anymore, its not about paper and pencils and tests it's about interacting with the world and interacting with teh technology and now we hvave this capability," said Megan Saunders, and English teacher at Holy Cross.
The school hopes this new technology will soon allow them to go on virtual field trips.
