SOUTH BOSTON, Va. (WSET) — A historic hotel in downtown South Boston is set to get a facelift.
South Boston leaders want to renovate the John Randolph Hotel.
They are partnering with the Brittano Group, Inc. and its subsidiary Rook Hotels for the redevelopment of the hotel.
Upgrades will include a rooftop bar, a restaurant, and more than 32 hotel rooms.

Town Manager Tom Raab thinks the project will cost around $11 million.
It will be funded by a combination of taxpayer and private dollars.
"It's going to be between $3 and $4 million. We don't really know for sure," Raab said. "I am going after some other grant funding, and that grant funding may reduce it down to $1 or $2 million, so it's kind of hard to say how much it's going to be."
Raab said once the project is complete in nearly two years it will bring in new jobs for residents.
Work on the project is set to begin in the coming months.
