Henry Co. church destroyed after two separate fires in two days

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- A Henry County church has been destroyed after a fire Tuesday that then rekindled Thursday morning, according to the Henry County Fire Marshal.

Initially, a fire broke out at Antioch Christian Church Tuesday night and then restarted around 4 a.m. Thursday morning.

Fire officials said the fire was put out Thursday morning, but smoke was billowing from the scene.

Multiple stations have been sent to the scene and are expected to be there most of the day, said Henry County Public Dispatch.

The Henry County Fire Marshal said the fire has been ruled accidental.
