LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Mellow Mushroom gave back to the healthcare community in Lynchburg in a tasty way.
They provided Horizon Behavioral Health and Johnson Health Center employees with free pizzas from their "Pi Day" promotion.
For every pizza purchased, Mellow Mushroom gave the healthcare workers a free pizza, as well.

Gary Campbell, Co-owner of Mellow Mushroom and CEO of Johnson Health Center said this is well-deserved.
"During the pandemic and post-pandemic, there's a lot of impact these healthcare workers made and continue to make, and there's a lot of heavy lifting that goes along with that. This is our way of saying thanks," Campbell said.
"To have people in the community that are so giving is just wonderful." Sherri Walker-Thacker, senior clinical director at Horizon Health, said.
Campbell said around 200 pizzas were bought on pi day, which is much higher than a normal Tuesday.
