14-year-old girl missing in Amherst County found safe

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office was asking for the public’s help in finding a missing teen girl.

On Monday, 14-year-old Audrey Smith was reported missing by her family. Smith was last seen wearing a black shirt and bell-bottom jeans in the Tryee Circle area of Madison Heights.

On Tuesday, the Sheriff's Office said Audrey was found safe.

"Thank you to all for your concern and support," the Sheriff's Office said.
