GOP gubernatorial candidate forum to take place in Lynchburg canceled amid planning issues

College Republicans at Liberty University announced Saturday that the GOP gubernatorial candidate’s forum that was set for Monday night has been canceled.

They say the cancellation is due to planning issues.

It was set to take place at Thomas Road Baptist Church at 7 p.m.

Seven candidates had confirmed their attendance for the event: Kirk Cox, Pete Snyder, Sergio De La Pena, Glenn Youngkin, Kurt Santini, Peter Doran and Amanda Chase. Notably missing from the event lineup; Republican candidate Merle Rutledge.

College Republicans at Liberty University did not announce when the event will be rescheduled.
