Friends, family hold fish fry to raise money for woman's funeral costs
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The friends and family of the late Tonya Faulkner are holding a fish fry fundraiser Saturday to raise money for her funeral costs.
Falkner, who was from Greensboro, passed away Wednesday due to complications with diabetes.
The fish fry is happening until around 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Wadsworth Street and Memorial Avenue.
They will be selling fish fry plates for $7 and fish fry sandwiches for $5.
A fish fry plate comes with two pieces of fish, cole slaw, mac and cheese and a slice of bread.
They say they'll deliver their meal to you if you order 3 plates or 4 sandwiches.
They are trying to raise the $5,600 necessary for Faulkner's funeral.
