Freezing drizzle and flurries possible Friday morning

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) - You’ll want to use caution on your Friday morning commute as patches of drizzle could create slippery conditions in the Lynchburg, Danville and Roanoke area.

A few reports of snow flurries are also likely, especially in and near the mountains.

The precipitation will be light, and weather advisories might not be issued by the National Weather Service.

The flurries and drizzle likely won’t be detected by radar and weather apps.

Morning temperatures will range from 21 to 30 across our area at 7 a.m.

Temperatures across the Heart of Virginia will warm above freezing between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
