Former Va. daycare worker charged with sexually abusing children

    HENRICO Co., Va. (WSET) -- A daycare employee in Henrico County has been charged with sexually abusing children.

    Rahman Jordan Rypkema, 32, is accused of sexually abusing two children under the age of 13 while an employee at Tuckaway Child Development & Early Education Center in Varina.

    Police said the first incident was reported to have happened between September 2018 - February 2019.

    And another was reported to have happened on or about February 12, 2019.

    Rypkema is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a child under the age of 13.

    He's being held without bond in the Henrico County Jail.

    A spokesperson sent an email to parents, according to WRIC in Richmond, saying that police notified them of the arrest, but they didn't have any other details.
