BEDFORD CO, Va. (WSET) – One Forest woman is dead after a single vehicle crash in Bedford County.
Virginia State Police said Sunday at 10:05 a.m. Linda Bonniville crashed her car on Route 460, one quarter mile east of Route 803, in Bedford County.
Police said the 61-year-old was driving west on Route 460, when her car ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch line and overturned.
Police said Bonniville was wearing her seat belt and died at the scene.
ABC 13 spoke with Pastor John Sines Jr. at Rock Pike Baptist Church where he said Bonniville was a member.
Sines said she was a faithful church goer every Sunday. He said she was a kind-hearted woman and would do anything for the church.
"She was a great spirit," Sines Jr. said. "She was fun to be around. Always happy and very bubbly. Her presence it is truly going to be missed."
Sines believes it’s possible she was on her way to the store to pick up items for their church luncheon they were having after Sunday's service.
Rock Pike Baptist Church Services are at 11 and she crashed just under an hour before that.
Sines also told ABC 13 Bonniville leaves behind three children and several grand children.
State police are still investigating what caused her to crash.
A memorial service for Bonnivile is scheduled at Rock Pike Baptist Church on Friday, although a time has not been set yet.
