Police: Woman shoots self, 1 man shot, other man pistol-whipped in Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Lynchburg Police Department said what they thought was a malicious wounding has been determined to be a domestic incident.
Police said officers were called to Cabell Street for a reported malicious wounding around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 16.
They said when officers got there, they found a 33-year-old man who had been shot.
He was taken to the hospital where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they also found a 24-year-old man, who had been reportedly pistol whipped in the face during the incident and he was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police said an adult woman was found inside the home in the 900 Cabell Street with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
She was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
Police said the case is active and ongoing.
There is no threat to the public and no additional suspects are being sought at this time.
