DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) — Police are investigating the death of an 88-year-old Danville woman as a homicide after finding her unresponsive in her home.
Sunday morning at around 10:45 a.m., Danville police responded to the 300 block of Juless Street after a 911 caller had found Elizabeth Morris Adkins unresponsive in her home.

Based on evidence at the scene, police immediately began a homicide investigation.
The victim’s body will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Roanoke for an autopsy and final determination of the cause of death.
