Man charged with murdering married couple in Danville, third victim in hospital
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET)- Danville Police have charged a man in a double homicide in Danville Wednesday night.
Police said they responded just before 10 p.m. to a home in the 100 block of Lexington Avenue for a disturbance.
They said they found three people suffering from severe injuries.
According to police, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified by police as 87-year-old Valean Ferrell Barley and 83-year-old Royal Douglas Barley, who police said were married and confined to wheelchairs.
Police said they were stabbed to death.
The third victim, the 58-year-old daughter of the couple, was taken from the scene to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Police said 52-year-old Onis Donnell Moon, who was in a relationship with the daughter, has been charged with two counts of first degree murder.
He is being held in Danville City Jail without bond.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
