Police: Man who made threats against Goodyear arrested
DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) -- The Danville Police Department has arrested the man they said made threats against the Goodyear plant in Danville on Thursday.
Jeremy O'Brian Huffman, 25, of Cascade is charged with Virginia State Code 18.2-83, "…. make and communicate a threat to bomb, burn, destroy or damage a place of assembly, building or other structure, or a means of transportation."
A Goodyear spokesman said the site's security team is "following procedures to address this issue and is working closely with local law enforcement to determine the nature and extent of the threats."
"We’ve taken steps to ensure associate safety," Goodyear officials said in a statement.
Huffman is currently being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
The police investigation is ongoing.
