Company to bring 50 new jobs to Botetourt Co.

At close to 100,000 square feet, the new facility increases capacity five-fold. ROANOKE., Va. (WSET) -- A string of economic development announcements in Botetourt Co. bringing is leading to 50 new jobs.

Movie screen manufacturing company Harkness Screens will occupy a vacant 100, 000-square foot building in EaastPark Center near Bonsack.

They say the company will make high-performance, coated two and three-dimensional cinema screens.

Harkness Screens says they are moving a Fredricksburg operation to Botetourt with plans for additional expansion.

“We are pleased to welcome another company to Botetourt County that is a leader in its industry,” says Todd Dodson, vice-chairman of the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors.

Boutetourt County has plans to also develop a major brewery and automotive parts factory that are expected to add 1,200 new jobs over the next five years.
