DANVILLE, Va. (WSET) - You can take a drive through the Community Holiday Light Show at Ballou Park in Danville! It started on Saturday and it runs every night through Christmas Day, except for Christmas Eve.

Danville Parks and Rec says different groups, families, and individuals create each of the displays.

During this event, the public can vote for their favorite display and a donation will be made to a nonprofit of the winner's choice.

Last year more than 2,500 cars came through, along with 31 buses. Parks and Rec estimates 9,600 people visited the light show.

It runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

It costs 7 dollars per car, with some discount nights.
