Charges against Mountain Valley Pipeline tree sitters dismissed

ROANOKE Co., Va. (WSET) -- A Roanoke County judge dismissed charges against the mother and daughter who sat in trees, protesting the Mountain Valley Pipeline for more than a month.

Red and Minor Terry were charged with trespassing, obstruction of justice and interfering with the property rights.

In April they sat in seperate trees on their own property in the easement of the Mountain Valley Pipeline.

They came down after a judge said they would be held in contempt and face large fines.
