Captain: Man dies after cutting major artery on window trying to get in locked home
CAMPBELL Co., Va. (WSET) -- A man has died after he got locked out of his girlfriend's home and cut his arm trying to get back in.
Captain Dwayne Wade with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office said 51-year-old Randy Stone was trying to get into the home through a window in the 300 block of Tabor Road sometime overnight of Sunday, October 7.
Wade said Stone, of Pittsylvania County, appeared to have cut his right arm on the glass and hit a major artery.
They said he went next door to get help, but wasn't able to wake anyone up.
He was found unresponsive around 9:50 a.m. on the neighbor's porch across the street.
