Cab driver robbed at gunpoint, police searching for suspects


    LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Lynchburg police are investigating a robbery of a cab driver.

    Police say they were called to the 1800 block of Bedford Ave. for a reported robbery at 2:40 a.m.

    The cab driver, who working for the Yellow Cab Company, told police he drove the two suspects to the Bedford Ave. address, and the suspects got out.

    One of them approached the driver, showed a firearm and demanded money.

    Police say the suspects then fled the scene with cash.

    The suspects are described below:

    Police say the first is 30-40-years-old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200 to 300 pounds, with hair in dreadlocks. He was wearing all black.

    Police say the second suspect is also between 30-40-years-old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has an unknown hairstyle and was also in all black clothing, and was wearing glasses.
