The suspect then took the items, got back in the vehicle, and it headed east toward Campbell Avenue.
Police said the victim told officers the driver was a woman.
Shortly after officers responded to this incident, police said the vehicle was found in the parking lot of the Rodeway Inn where they determined that the vehicle was stolen during a carjacking in Lynchburg around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 13.

The victim then gave them a ride to a nearly church, but when they got there, the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the keys to the vehicle and stole the victim's purse with it.
A “BOL” for the vehicle was sent to regional law enforcement by Lynchburg Department of Emergency Services.
Roanoke Police sent an alert to Lynchburg Police that the vehicle was located in the motel parking lot and officers were able to determine a hotel room rented by the suspects, but they were unable to get the suspects outside.
