LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET)-- Republican candidate Bob Good walked away with the win in Virginia’s 5th district after narrowly defeating Democratic candidate Cameron Webb.
Good claimed victory in a tweet early Wednesday, and Webb conceded the race shortly thereafter.

Good is a former member of the Campbell County Board of Supervisors and served for four years.
Good is a self-described Constitutionalist.
Good released the following statement upon winning:
"I received a gracious call from Dr. Cameron Webb tonight, extending his congratulations for our campaign's victory in the 5th District Congressional race. I want to compliment him for a hard-fought campaign and thank him for acknowledging my win with his concession. I look forward to working to earn the support of all the citizens in the 5th District, and validating the trust placed in me by the hundreds of thousands of voters who cast their votes in this all-important election."

He ran to represent Virginia's 5th District based on promoting a government that operates within the boundaries set forth in the constitution. Good campaigned for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and protecting the Second Amendment. He is a strong supporter of Pres. Donald Trump.
Good spent most of his childhood in Lynchburg. He grew up there and attended Liberty University.
