A best-selling author is making a stop in Lynchburg to speak at an event championing conservation.

On September 28, Doug Tallamy, the author of the book Nature's Best Hope, will be speaking at EC Glass High School at 7 p.m.

The event is brought on by Blue Ridge Conservation, Lynchburg BEE City and Parks and Recreation, but Tallamy's speaking isn't all that's going on there.
