BEDFORD Co., Va. (WSET) -- One woman's residency is being called into question as she tries to run for Bedford County Treasurer.

Today the registrar held a hearing after three residents in the area challenged Amy Dooley Gordon saying she lives in Franklin County.

Gordon is one of two Republican candidates vying for the spot.

At the hearing, Gordon said she lives in her mother's old home in Bedford County, and she owns a house in Franklin County.

The complainants hired a private investigator who showed pictures of Gordon's car in both driveways.

"I moved back here, because I love Bedford County, and my husband and I both want to make Bedford County our home," Gordon said.

The registrar will make a decision on the case on July 11th.
