Bedford Co. Administration building opening back up Thursday after boiler issue
BEDFORD Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Bedford County Administration building is opening back up Thursday, January 3 after it had to close Wednesday due to an issue with the heating system.
Administrators first got word Tuesday night that a tube in the boiler had ruptured.
Crews put a patch over it, but the patch didn't hold and it ruptured again Wednesday morning.
While this may have caused an inconvenience, county administrators want you to know they're doing their best to come up with a solution.
"The temporary solution is going to be two 480 volt heaters that'll be put on the basement level to heat the building," said Carl Boggess, the Bedford County Administrator. "We should be within normal temperature around Friday when people come to work."
Administrators say they will eventually replace the boiler as it was already scheduled to be replaced before this happened.
