MONTGOMERY Co., Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Court of Appeals has upheld the sentence of a Montgomery County woman who killed her former father-in-law.

Amanda Taylor, 25, was sentenced to life in prison for killing Charles Taylor in 2016.

Police say she and her accomplice Sean Ball, 34, went to Charles Taylor's home in April 2015 with a knife and a crowbar.

Investigators said Amanda Taylor admitted to stabbing him at least 29 times.

A judge told Taylor she was "evil personified" and had shown "little or no remorse" for her actions.

Taylor appealed her sentence, but the judge upheld it earlier this month.
